Leon Vynehall, Rojus (Designed To Dance), Running Back
Deep house. Smooth and mellow and groovy and anything but aggressive, this is not the kind of house designed for the billboards. House-structured songs with wet electric bass, jazzy drums, repeated & sustained chords, quiet affected vocal samples, mix friendly production, slow predictable transitions. Many of the tracks are this "lounge house" style (simple melodies, overall repetitive) but there is some good variation. No bad tracks.
* 1) 3:36 Beyond This: * Not house* an atmospheric glimmering of easy sounds. Slow textured breaths, mellow arpeggios.
* 2) 4:23 Saxony: smooth watery house, satisfying, sexy. Late night spa/lounge music. BPM 120
* 3) 5:52 Beau Sovereign: Catchy old-school house. Kinda choppy beats, smashed breathy vocals, punchy synths, faster. BPM 120
** 4) 6:38 Paradisea: groovier slow house with repeated piano chords and twangy guitar moans on a slightly bigger beat. BPM 120
* 5) 6:50 Wahness: if Disclosure did late night grooves. House roots. BPM 122
** 6) 8:31 Blush: smooth house, unique. Full sounding, morphing, switches melody/anticipation, keeps you on your toes. BPM 122
7) 8:33 Kiburu's: Upbeat and trippy. Tribal exploration melts with smooth house, then violins. A very strange amalgam of samples. BPM 119
** 8) 5:13 …There Is You: a rhythmic, calm, soundscape over a single sustained minor tone. BPM 118
