A re-recording of their 35 year old legendary song by a band that went on to become a legendary part of the 80’s EBM movement (see also Throbbing Gristle, Skinny Puppy, Cabaret Voltaire, Executive Slacks, NON). The song was “Stahlwerksynfonie” and is here renamed Stahlwerkrequiem and bears little resemblance to what the band evolved to later (EBM). This is pure noise/Krautrock with sounds from a factory thrown in, more along the lines of new Carlton Melton or contemporaries F/i. Two versions of the song are contained, both are long but one is almost twice as long. No vocals, just pure noise rock joy. So beautiful. People from Faust etc were also involved in this.
1) (23:29) excellent simple noise rock with dissonant noise guitar and industrial metal clanging, old school greatness 2) (13:24) another version of the previous, shorter, different but pretty much identical
