Some totally catchy pop-rock tunes by two Brits in Iceland. Fuzzy electronic edges give the warm rock sound some bite. Plodding tracks without much hurry. Stoked to see what else these guys release.
Genre: Indie pop rock, Iceland
RIYL: TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear
FCCs? Nah
Favorite Tracks: 1, 3
Punch Drunk Sober* (3:35) - impatient gauzy piano, catchy hook, reverby vocals with punchy chorus and haunting calls in background, great stuff
Bask (3:05) - Very TV on the Radio, clicky looping drum sample, cool squishy synths, ghostly vocals, great catchy hooks again
High Pressure Front* (3:34) - subdued intro with light synth backing, building in background, explodes into poppy track, swanky strumming
Harbour (4:10) - Cool winding guitar piece over funky fuzzy bass line, kinda repetitive
