Avante project by duo made of percussionist Glenn Kotche (Wilco) and bassist Darin Gray (Tweedy) (originally included Jim O'Roarke). Elements of jazz, world/Latin and experimental noise wrapped into one. Upright bass, Brazilian percussion, vibes, tape loops, found sounds, lovely female vocals used as an instrument (not a vehicle to deliver lyrics). Could be filed under jazz or experimental. Recorded in a multi day session in Rio (hence the brasillian flavor). Beyond excellent.
