JAZZ: MALE VOCAL
Elijah Rock’s baritone crooning may seem more appropriate for a theater stage than for a jazz club, and indeed he has appeared in several musicals. This CD is his crowd-funded, self-released debut. All songs are by George & Ira, or by Ira with other composers, except #8. Accompaniment is piano, guitar, bass & drums. Notes inside liner give more info.

1 * Mid-tempo. Smooth, romantic R&B. Nice piano bridge. Good start to album. (3:54)
2 Fast. Hip and syncopated. Higher (tenor) register. Electric guitar & piano bridge. (2:30)
3 Fast. Old-fashioned show tune, sounds like it. Electric guitar bridge. (3:57)
4 Very slow. Bluesy ballad. Extended piano bridge. Kinda sleepy. (4:47)
5 Mid-slow. Gentle, swaying, danceable. Piano bridge. (4:34)
