BLOODY AMAZING heavy psych from these Swedes, recorded live at Roadburn fest in the Netherlands. Coming to us from the great Rocket Recordings, home of all that is holy and psychedelic. Tight grooves, spacey vox, searing guitars all held together by great bass… not your father’s psych, this is some dense head-nodding trippy transcendent stuff. ABSOLUTELY WOWED!
Related: Black Bombaim, Laddio Bolocko, White Hills, Lumerians
1. (13:09) *** National Drone—Lush, intense, driving psych with some Eastern flares, weird distorted vox.
2. (14:06) *** Frigörande Musik—Brighter, swaying. Locks into a great groove. Guitars soar onto higher planes.
3. (14:26) *** Master Sleeps—Lot more jammy, nice wah guitars, keys. Aquatic. Trippy outro with tons of delay.
4. (13:59) *** Och Solen Sänkte Sig Röd—Slower, cosmic. Incredible bassline. Guitar jamming, insane spacey effects, finishes with some crunchy distorted soloing. Closes with the frontman talking: “we were supposed to play six songs, but we only had time for four, so maybe we can do the other two some other time”—classic!
