Hailing from Los Angeles, Band Aparte is a duo whose forte is barebones gravepunk music. The duo is made up of Brian Mendoza and Tara Jane. This album maintains a macabre, spooky undertone, and stays true to their goth-punk sound, while still making every song unique and non-uniform. Mendoza’s voice is low and seductive, as if he’s seducing and luring you to your death, but you’re happy to follow.
