Long time veteran on the music scene, this Americana singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist has produced hundreds, if not thousands, of shows, sometimes appearing with his good friend of many years, John Oates, an icon who has managed to stay relevant, despite some disastrous hair-dos of the 80’s. But I digress… Anyway, John Oates produced this for David and even performed and sang on track #3. Overall, I would say it’s a good album with interesting themes in the songs. I liked 2, 3, 4.
1. 3:43 – slow/med – vocals highlights gentle acoustic rock
2. 3:24 – slow/med – Title track has velvet vocals with string heavy backup
3. 3:37 – slow – John Oates sings classic Mama’s and Papa’s song – great version
4. 4:29 – slow/med – hauntingly melodious song about drug addiction
5. 3:30 – med – rock with some blues inflection
6. 3:42 – slow – string heavy country rock, inspired by a story David’s grandfather wrote
