This is Gulley’s 3rd album and a nice improvement over his sophomore effort.
His songwriting (5 songs) and fantastic voice carry the album, and guest Tim
Crouch’s fiddle adds a major dimension to the band’s sound.
1 – (2:55) Drowned In Sorrow* Up-tempo, hard drivin’ weeper, fine.
2 – (3:11) Time Won’t Wait* Lovely reflective ballad, mid-tempo.
3 – (2:37) You’ll Cry For Me* Bitter love-gone-wrong song, excellent, mid.
4 – (3:29) The Road Back To You* Slow & tender love ballad, terrific.
5 – (3:42) I’m All Right* Feel good road song, mid-tempo march.
6 – (3:39) I Can Almost See Houston From Here Decent country crooner.
7 – (3:28) Congratulations Anyway* Mid-tempo weeper, fine harmonies.
8 – (3:22) You Can’t Help Who You Love Decent mid-tempo ballad, OK.
9 – (3:02) Leaving Sounds Pretty Good To Me* Bitter breakup tune, bluesy.
10 – (1:53) G-Force* Fast instrumental, fancy picking!
11 – (3:52) Safe In His Arms* Slow gospel trio featuring bassist Bryan Turner
on lead vocals.
12 – (2:31) Hold Your Horses* Funny mid-up-tempo tune about courtship.
