FCCs: “shit” & “fuck” on #4, “fuck” on #6
Review: Vancouver, BC indie rock group. This new thoroughly enjoyable release delivers something vastly different from their past work. The album as a whole has a different feel sonically, and there is quite a bit of surf rock and dream pop influence across the whole album, plus interesting vocal arrangements.
If You Like: Yo La Tengo, Guster, Beach Boys, Cocteau Twins

*1/ Step Into Darkness (2:56) – drums start> midtempo song with soaring vocals & vibrating guitar underpinning> quick stop on vocal
2/ More Than Ever (3:21) – vibrating keyboards start> midtempo dream pop love song with echoing vocals> quick stop

*7/ Miscarriage (3:33) – piano starts> slow song with harmonizing vocals builds to uptempo rocking then slows to fade> false stop> spacey song with reverse vocal harmony> quick fade
8/ Beautiful Morning (3:05) – vocal starts> jaunty midtempo song about the weather & the relationship> shifts to sonic psychedelic dream pop & fades
