Suuns have always stood in their own realm between noise, post-punk and dance with a dark and isolated dystopian vibe. Their experimental style evolves with each album. Felt, their newest creation, isn’t so much a progression into unknown territory as a return to form. Emerging just shy of two years since their last album, the violent electronic odyssey Hold/Still, Suuns puts a lid on the noise and swings the pendulum back towards the soft experimental pop that carried their early efforts.

Play: 1, 3, 5, 11
.Look No Further (3:56) - Propelled by an oppressive bass; smooth, sultry and sinister
.X-ALT (3:21) - Upbeat and bouncy, with an erratic saxophone interlude, followed by synth-heavy
.Watch You, Watch Me (5:56) - Shuffling krautrock repetition with maximalist fuzz and warped vocoder.
.Baseline (4:23) - Excellent bass-line with a storm of guitars and synths flashing at unexpected junctures.
.After the Fall (4:30) - Pounding trip-hop sketch.
.Control (3:29) - Voice samples combine with synth sirens on a rainy backdrop to vocoder-tinged reveries.
.Make It Real (4:40) - A full-force, major-key ballad, circling an effervescent keyboard lines and swampy drums.
.Daydream (4:43) Brittle space-punk, whirling vortex of night terrors.
.Peace and Love (3:45) - Vocoder flourishes with occasional saxophone solos.
.Moonbeams (2:17) - An instrumental that dive-bombs its way in with feedback-choked bluster.
.Materials (4:59) - Entirely autotuned, and it’s one of the groovier tracks with a southerly, minimalist approach.
