Review: On this live date, Andersen's beefy, distinct bass can be a deep, woody anchor or an airborne provocateur. The difficult sax trio formation benefits greatly from Smith's own versatility. He moves from long, fluid lines to pointed, prickling sketches, making the saxophone speak in tongues and keeping the dialog with Andersen moving forward.

Track Review (favorites denoted by *):
1/ Mira (9:50) – bass starts> slow plaintive jam> fade
*2/ Science (11:10) – bass starts. Uptempo jam slows to midtempo & swings into off-kilter jam> quick stop
*3/ Venice (8:45) – sax starts> midtempo jam swings uptempo> rocking uptempo jam soars then mellows to midtempo> quick stop
4/ North of The Northwind (8:36) – spacey start. Slow drifting jam with a nautical vibe> slow fade
5/ Blussy (8:59) – drums start> slow off-kilter hesitating jam swings uptempo> slows to fade
*6/ Inhouse (8:10) – drums start> midtempo off-kilter jam swings uptempo> wild & blowing> crescendo end
