From England, 70’s guitar rock damaged heaviness that drinks heavily from the well that nourished the Seattle “grunge” scene as in Soundgarden, with that super male somewhat slick vocal style and production. But undeniable psych and doom damage too. Think also the band Sleep and every band that was considered metal in the early mid 70’s (Blue Oyster Cult, Thin Lizzy, Trower). Slow phrased vocals, big beats and guitars that don’t scrimp on the blues box guitar leads. Good stuff, strutting and posturing the way rock and roll was meant to be (enter swooning bead bedecked groupies…).
1) (5:08) hella Seattle Soundgarden grunge, slow swaying heavy rock with those somewhat overproduced vocals 2) (4:39) chill guitar intro, mindful, then a tom tom heavy tribal heavy thing ensues, trippy almost carribean backbeat airy bridge with guitar 3)* (5:11) samples of bells, general dark gothy doomy tone to this one 4)* (2:02) in the tradition of all 70’s metal bands, a pretty acoustic guitar/piano instrumental, an intro to the next (play together) 5)* (6:18) comes out of previous, slow bluesy dark swing to this, tri-tone simplicity, blends into next 6) (6:51) comes out of previous, the kinda funky reggae slight backbeat returns, big soaring guitars 7) (5:36) begins with simple drum beat for 4 measures, then a big woo woo epic 70’s feeling rock, slow riff, very trippy spoken “everything is going to be alright” sample at end 8) (3:20) “everything is going to be alright” tripped out sample again, in intro, then a slow bluesy jam
