Simply a fantastic album by Alvin and Gilmore, who have been touring
together in 2017 & 2018. All the songs are great, both are in fine voice,
and the playing is incredible!
1 – (5:49) Downey To Lubbock* Fine rocking stomp, mid, excellent!
2 – (4:59) Silverlake* Lovely mid-tempo ballad, JDG sings lead, wow!
3 – (2:58) Stealin’, Stealin’* Nice mid-tempo stomp, excellent.
4 – (3:50) July, You’re A Woman* Really great cover, DA sings lead, mid.
5 – (3:50) Buddy Brown’s Blues* Great anguished vocals by JDG, starts slow then builds.
6 – (3:56) The Gardens* Fine rueful ballad, a bit Tex-Mex, lovely.
7 – (3:55) Get Together* JDG takes lead on this cover of Youngbloods’ hit, nice.
8 – (5:10) K.C. Moan* Slower bluesy tune w/JDG singing lead, so fine.
9 – (2:36) Lawdy Miss Clawdy* Mid-up rocker, screaming JDG vocals & guitar, wow!
10 – (4:43) Billy The Kid And Geronimo* Fine shared vocals on this tender ballad.
11 – (4:49) Deportee – Plane Wreck At Los Gatos* Terrific Tex-Mex poignant ballad.
