LOCAL! (…ish. They recently moved to New York.) Super jerky, minimal, sarcastic post-punk with Devo leanings. More straight-ahead punk than their previous releases, with less dancing and more moshing. Great stuff. RIYL The Intelligence, Spray Paint, Unwound, Marbled Eye, Castle Face. Favorites: 1, 2. No FCCs detected.
1. *(2:53)—Fast, frantic, upbeat, fun. Something about taking a ride in a Subaru.
2. *(2:15)—Fast, bouncy, with group shouting. Nice minimalist finish.
3. (2:35)—Mid-tempo, groovy. Mantra lyrics. Reminds me of early Disappears.
4. (1:11)—Fast, fun little instrumental.
