Angelo De Augustine/Tomb. Indie folk music that sounds relatively similar to other artists like Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens. Most the songs carry rather somber tones, with the three primary instruments being acoustic guitar, piano, and his silky, depressing voice. Most songs are pretty slow, so it’s not traditional radio music though some of them are quite beautiful that certainly merit being aired on radio. In particular I recommend trying 5, 9, 11.
1)(4:17) Sad, soft acoustic guitar with velvety vocals that continues through whole song, 2)(2:52) Light piano driving song as vocalist sings over in his unique tone, 3)(3:25) Very pretty acoustic guitar throughout song with floating vocals in the background, 4)(4:09) Similar song again with basic guitar and haunting vocals coming in over, 5)**(5:16) Extremely beautiful song with soft guitar and ambient noises in background. His silky voice is great on this one, 6)(3:52) Sad song that elicits feelings of longing. Very nice piano driving song from background, 7)(3:57) Very similar song and musical structure to earlier songs with light acoustic guitar, pianos and high pitch vocals, 8)(3:08) Slow song that’s different from previous songs in that there’s no acoustic guitar, but just synth, vocals and later piano, 9)*(3:03) Brings out feelings of wandering or journeying for something with slow but purposeful guitar and piano at end, 10)(4:27) Piano drives song with acoustic guitar secondary in this song. Sounds like others, 11)*(3:23) Piano almost sounds like a bird chirping, giving the song a much more upbeat feel that others on the album, 12)(4:25) Running acoustic guitar with very strong, serious piano in background. Fittingly, a sad song to close the album.
