Lovely guitar and vocals make this a brilliant psychedelic folk rock compilation album. The simple yet crisp production lends an intimate spotlight onto the Californian singer-songwriter. This comp album is a collection of Alan’s essentials.
All FCC clean.

RIYL: Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles
1. In The Rain – 4:35 – Light, with echoing vocals.
2. Sightly Sue – 4:36 - A bit surf rock-y. Gentle tambourine & drums let the undulating vocals take the spotlight.
3. I Need A Change – 3:32 – Falsetto matches ascending guitar. Vibrant solos. Sudden end.
4. Good Morning World – 2:19 – Psychedelic. Sounds like The Beatles circa Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
5. Freedom – 2:58 – Layered guitar, rattling tambourine, catchy.
6. The Sun Is Rising In Your Eyes – 4:22 – Multiple exciting changes in guitar’s speed.
7. Fences – 3:57 – Quick, slow, then quick again. Vocals sound despondent.
8. The Turtle (Moving On) – 4:28 – Punctuated twangs of guitar, smooth chorus.
9. A Visit From A Friend – 4:17 – Very cool, twangy psych intro & riff. Layered vocals.
10. Sail Away Forever – 3:19 – Fun, sunny melody. Repetitive chorus.
11. November – 3:04 – Sounds like a benign light rock jam.
12. For A Long Time – 3:01 – High-pitched airy strings. Harmonizing voices add to the melody.
13. Late Night Morning Coffee – 3:53 – Low-pitched riff beneath sunshine-y melody.
