Ruth La ‘Ontra’s “I Got You” is her second album and a nice addition to the urban contemporary gospel genre. Vocal style of La ‘Ontra, along with music, at times, reminds me of a cross between Tasha Cobbs, Kiki Sheard. “Come Through (Reprise)” and “Tis So Sweet” are La ‘Ontra’s vocal showcases where you can really hear the distinctiveness of her voice (esp. Come Through Reprise). “In My Name” is reminiscent of the gospel music style of the Hawkins and the Winans in the early nineties. Fav tracks: *2,*6, **4,**9. No FCCs.
