Interesting mix of traditional music from Grenada, historical narratives and female singer/songwriter music from Canada. I really enjoyed it! Best for me: 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12.
Slow - female s/s
Slow - female s/s. Remorseful? Mysterious
*Med - flowing, cascading song, then country rock
Narrative interlude with Kaia’s father
*acapella traditional call and response
**slow/med - med- hauntingly beautiful dreamy portrayal of past
**slow - dreamy song about the resilience of spirit
Narrative interlude with Deno Hurst (Kaia’s dad)
*Slow/Med - Title track nice dreamy female s/s/ indie americana
Slow - some kind of pessimistic song in her trademark sound
Slow - same dreamy sound as past 2
*slow - more voice, more banjo
Narrative interlude about immigrating to canada alone in the cold at age 14
