Very local faves (comprised of ex KZSU GMs, MDs, etc) this new release is a collection of remixes of a one of their catchiest tracks from a previous release (mind you, “catchy” is a relative word in the solar system the Noriegas orbit in). For fans of Kraut rock and experimental electronica alike, theres a French remix and some near techno tones to this and an accessibility to it. Excellent, as always.
1) (4:00) cool kraut rock motif w fuzz space bass and droning synth. Vocals mixed in via some kind of afropop world male voice heavily treated 2)* (13:54) trippy quiet intro, builds with a beat, distinctive space bass is waaay back in mix, builds but remains chill 3)* (10:13) starts with some treated bass and synth like a mid 70’s sun raw jam, then a long form improv space jam ensues, really builds toward end 4)* (13:27) beat and bass really smack of Clock DVA in this mix
