Solo project of one Josh Pollock, aka DJ Female Convict Scorpion. Guitar based experimental meanderings and layered loops, sounds, samples, all recorded live as part of a soundtrack to a production of The War of the Roses here in SF. The prowess of this guy never ceases to amaze, a master of interesting guitar-work and the ability to layer and dub in a live setting along with samples and other sources. This work takes on the subtlety of say a Tuxedo Moon experiment but at times breaks into some noise or even guitar wankery. Fantastic stuff, all tracks are mostly brief. Pollock has a very long local resume going back 26 years including collaborations with notables White Pee and Emily Jane White, as well as a near-regular on our annual Day of Noise and Weds Night Live programs. Great stuff.
