This sounds like 70’s proto ambient experimental outfit Tangerine Dream if they were to do film soundtracks. Well, it might be because this guy spent 5 years in the band in the early 80’s before going solo moving to LA and doing film TV and video game work for a long list of familiar titles including most recently Walking Dead. Very well composed, Piano and strings, percussion, but lots of treatments. Anything but low fi noise, quite professional and slick as you might expect. Lush and lovely. Play with Tangerine, Hans Otte, George Winston, or anything Windham Hill, Music From the Hearts of Space.
1) (3:45) very quiet fade in then piano and violin appear slow and somber but melodic 2) (3:14) very “nice”, almost soundtrack nice, melodic and composed, Beatles type fool on the hill melody 3) (3:28) somber and lush strings and piano 4) (1:58) strange samples now appear in mix, ratcheting this down a bit to more experimental 5) (3:24) somber dirge almost, children’s voice samples 6) (3:10) piano to start, slow quiet pensive tones subliminal 7) (3:34) builds very nicely, perfectly actually 8) (3:49) piano based composition 9) (3:50) piano again 10) (2:50) big dreamscape 11) (2:06) nice piano with obtuse metallic sounds, or is that the caltrain I’m on 12)* ( 5:26) builds into a lush experimental feel with tape reverse sounds etc 13)* (7:55) very very dreamlike: starts with quiet piano minimalism, a la Hans Otte, Winston, violin joins, very chill, somber but not too much, toward end it takes a very spacey turn and a simple Beatles type fool on the hill melody subliminally appears again
