Violin centered, guitar bass drums instrumentals. Improv feeling jams a la Sunburned Hand of Man especially The Dirty Three, or post Barrett/Pre-Dark Side Pink Floyd but with a distinct exotic melodic sense (is it Celtic, eastern?). This is the debut album by an UK artist with a couple others, all recorded in a day live to ¼” tape. Excellent stuff that’s garnered the attention of many including the WFMU sect. Long form contemporary psychedelic improv at its finest. Play with aforementioned as well as Dead Sea Apes and Abronia. Cardinal Fuzz/Feeding Tube are on a tear lately!
1) (4:30) slow to build jam with pensive bass, falls apart 2)* (5:47) rather chill violin meandering with guitar bass drums, slight eastern flare in the minor toned scales 3)* (8:38) long slow meandering 4) (1:29) simple upbeat folky mountain feel, if the bass alternated to the 5th it would be country 5) (6:26) slow to build with drone violin becomes somewhat upbeat and melodic 6) (6:25) pensive feel at start despite the swingy ride cymbal beat 7) (1:14) brief but lovely, chill, with melodic sad violin, could use as an intro to next 8) (5:35) bouncy and folky mountain feel, again if the bass alternated with the 5th it would totally be hillbilly country, meanders off
