Started during the civil war in Uganda to help orphaned children, the African Children's Choir is now an established institution there and in Kenya, Rwanda, and South Africa. Amazing, amazing choral arrangements and performances of Christian music by wonderfully talented and well-taught children; all tracks are worth listening to even if you aren't a believer

NO FCC's; Favorite tracks: 3, 6, 11, 12

1-Yesu –1:44-- unison call and response with beat; lovely energetic intro

2—Niwe Wenka –2:53-- more call and response; some harmony; more elaborate drumming

*3--How Great Thou Art –3:43 – well-known hymn in English with African instruments and African beat; lovely part singing; a bit Caribbean sounding

4—O For A Thousand Tongues—2:52-- very cool rhythm underlying traditional hymn

5—Mwema-- 2:25-- some serious drumming with singing in African language

**6—What A Friend We Have in Jesus—3:14—more light Caribbean style sound and rhythm grace this traditional hymn; fabulous choral arrangement

7—Just As I Am—3:01-- unison with English lyrics

8—Teli Amufanana—4:20-- call and response with harmony-- break in middle seems to start another song, African language

9—Baba Umetha –1:57-- African language with elaborate drumming

10—Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus –2:43-- a little quieter and more downbeat (compared to the rest); still very peppy

**11—In Christ Alone –4:28-- starts with solo and quiet guitar; English lyrics; nice arrangement

*12—Great is Thy Faithfulness—3:58—Nice instrumentation; organ, mbira or djembe maybe; kids shout and clap at end

13—Baba Bambulele—2:23-- harmony and serious drumming

14 – Drum Solo—4:49-- heart-stirring beats and some cries; warning: anomalous snippet of another song at the very end of the track
