In this one off release, Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Jess Williamson step back from their signature indie styling and return to their southern roots to create a delightful folk/country release. The alchemy in the mix is rooted in their adding a dollop of  indie spice to the rich country styling of their heroes like Dolly Parton & Emmylou Harris. The band, which includes Spencer Tweedy (Jeff's son) lays down a lovely folky twang one expects from a disk recorded in Durham by St. Cloud producer Brad Cook, but the real secret sauce in it are the blissful harmonies that occur when these stellar vocalists share the microphone.
