This folk music "opera" was produced by Alan Lomax and recorded as a radio program in 1945 in support of WWII.
- Notable actor/singers include Burl Ives, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Lily Mae Ledford (of the original Coon Creek Girls), Alan Lomax
- Burl Ives narrates in the manner of his old "Rudolph" TV program.
- The material ranges from silly novelty stuff to some true folk-music gems.
- Tracks 32-37 are bonus tracks, straight songs done outside the opera.
Note: this was previously keyed in with Alan Lomas as the artist. I reentered it as a compilation. (Be Sharp 1 Feb 2024)
