Promo EP, tracks 1,5 from her latest album. Mick Harvey (Birthday Party, Crime and the City Solution) helps produce new stuff.
1) Patty Smith-ish vocals, jangly guitars, good straight upbeat pop but I expect more. Weak.
2) sexy midtempo beat, desperate vocals, nice heavy bassline, hooky chorus vocals. Great.
3) A remake of her enormous hit from 1995. Classic PJ, electronic feel, sexy samba-ish beat, call/answer vocals, melodies.
4) Slow moody, swingy, piano, guit, bass, drums, pretty vocal melodies, desperate
5) ¾ timing, jangly, not as weak as first track but more along the same lines. Pretty. Change of pace.
