Rye Coalition On Top - Hot damn!!! Rye Coalition's 3rd album. If this album doesn't kick your ass I don't know what will. This is some serious fiery hard rock. Great screaming guitars and pounding drums. Vocals are all yelled but always come across very passionate. There is some great energy on this album that never lets up. A bit like Karp or Shellac. I highly recommend this album. My favorites are below but not one song disappoints.

1) Starts with thumping guitar and drums. Guitars come in harsh and loud. A nice midtempo with somewhat angular guitars, but with catchy lyrics. Great breakdown section that gets quite and slowly builds up until it explodes again.
2) Electric guitars start it out and then the drums come pounding in. Wow! Serious high energy. Nice guitar solo. Uptempo.
3) Drums start to a nice solid uptempo beat. Pounding that just doesn't give up. Hard and heavy!
4) Guitar starts with a cute little line. Drums come in to a midtempo rock song. Has a lighter feel at times, but vocals are still a bit angry sounding.
5) Slower and pounding. Drags and has a slight bluesy feel to it. Vocals have this great feel of desperation and there is one fine guitar solo. Ends abruptly and then comes back in with 3 or 4 notes.
6) Uptempo song with a slight bounce. This one is fun! He's trying to seduce an older woman.
7) Harsh guitar kicks it off. Whew! This one is fast and furious. Hysterical lyrics. Fcc: says "motherfucker."
8) Solid fast midtempo. Harsh guitars with a great pounding chorus. Fcc: says "shit."
9) Great title on this track! Heh. Pounding uptempo rock.
10) Starts with sounds from the beach and a truck backing up. Other random sounds then the guitar comes in. Solid midtempo song. Fcc: says "fucking."
