a quiet, somber album of emo-esque rock with tinges of bluegrass thrown in for good measure. kind of like pedro the lion meets wilco. not a badalbum but not really outstanding either. better tracks are #1, #8 and #9.
1 - layered with sparse vocals
2 - pretty standard rock tune
3 - bluegrass-infused power ballad
4 - starts slow and minimal then speeds up and chugs along like you're on a train
5 - silent night?? but actually a lullaby that rocks out
6 - so subdue. so slow.
7 - rock with an island twist.
8 - pretty and orchestral
9 - LONG (~10 min) track. 3 movements of everything from sad to jangly.
