Free-jazz session based on some very good mainstream composing. Pianist Michael Jeffry Stevens keeps a healthy '60s bebop vibe going, while trumpeter Herb Robertson shows off his avant-garde chops (1,3) as well as his more sensitive side (4,8). Great stuff -- not a bad track in the bunch.
