For fifteen years the Bevis Frond has released albums of his fuzzy guitar, singing with some bitterness and getting covered once in a while by the likes of Barbara Manning and Mary Lou Lord.
1.starts w/a sorta sad acoustic guitar intro, then goes to 60s psych electronica & horn w/fem "Bah bah bah"s, and sarcasism. Back to acoustic. Longish song
2.mid-fast, moderately fuzzy
+3.good pulsing organ in the background, and a brief Bond-theme quote
4.minor key, brief simple angsty
+5.mid-slow, complaining with positive criticism
6.full on fuzz
7.one of those times that he sounds like Elvis Costello
8.rock, 60's feel, do mash the potato
10.mid-fast, wanky guitar solo
+11.clear guitar w/soft singing
12.fast, some Costello, decent guitar solo
13.midtempo, short, some organ & electric piano
+14.midtempo, restrained intro then fuzz
15.psyche-tinged rock
16.mid-slow, kinda blah after the energy of the previous track
+17.classic bevis frond riffage
18.lengthy epic, worthy of Wayne Rogers/Major Stars J starts w/slower echo guitar, organ, drums kick in, wanky guitar solo/psych jam- instrumental ends and it's like a new song at -7:24, acoustic guitar & quiet singing to a Paul McCartneyesque pop tune, and quiet again, and a sitar? And rock again. I like the 2nd half
