Heres a CD that rotted on the review shelf most likely because there was a cowboy hat on the cover. Funny but there’s only one track that has any twang at all, the rest are fantastic compositions by local diva/genius Beth Custer and Joe Goode with the assistance of the likes of Tin Hat Trio, Club Foot Orchestra, Gino Robair, Will Bernard, Trevor Dunn (all super heavyweight hitters musically). Recorded at some of the east bay’s finest indie studios, this is varied stuff that is mostly orchestral/sequenced in nature a la The Residents or burlesque cabaret feeling a la Tom Waits. Super cool music used for performances by The Joe Goode Performance group.
