Historic meeting of two improv greats, Evan Parker on sax and George Lewis on trumpet.
More sound-oriented than music-oriented, with a heavy stillness over everything, almost like they were concentrating a little too deeply.
Most tracks feature Evan's trademark circular breathing -- long stretches of continuous notes.
1- Quiet, low-flying buzz
2- Active burble, lots of white space
3- Sparse start; lively ending
4- Very nice trombone progression behind Evan
5- Spritely start, then trombone growl under a continual sax run
