Local guys doing abstract improv: Lots of sounds both musical and extra-musical, adding up to a whole, usually successfully.
The cast is: Morgan Guberman (bass) Matt Ingalls (clarinet-violin-sax), Gino Robair (percussion), Scott Rosenberg (sax; no longer local but who's counting), and John Shiurba (guitar, both acoustic and electric).
The even-numbered tracks ("holes") are very short blips, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, but always feeling "complete." Cute idea. The other tracks are normal lengths -- 2 to 14 minutes.
1- Tight curled noises
2* - 4-second blast
3*- Calm, becomes flowing
5- Quiet; picks up in the last 5 minutes
7*- Builds nicely to a loud crescendo, courtesy of Gino on drums
11- Shrill strings, distorted electric guitar
12*- Quick sax break
13*- Middle section features a low ominous drone, some sampled sounds
