Viola trio! and the third trio album Mat has done for Leo Records. Open-ended pieces favoring slow waves of music, sometimes loud and crashing (1,3,4). As usual, Maneri goes for a contemplative sound with slightly curdled notes. Acoustic bass & drums make for a nice organic backing. Very nice disc.
