Uptempo bop with a rich sound and playful, free solos -- great stuff, lots of energy. Accessible overall with plenty of good-natured outside twists in the solos.
Every track is upbeat and fast. #1 especially has a big-city hurry-up feel that's appealing.
#4 starts with a jubilant rap about the common source of all music (or some such), followed by rolling horn riffs. It's not my favorite track but it's still good.
Dawkins leads on sax, accompanied by trumpet and trombone, with bass & drums backing.
