Yes, they have "jazz" in their name but these Norwegians are interested in breakbeats as much as in downbeats. They apply jazz improv styles and accents to broken beats, letting things get nearly out of control and then pulling them back together. Good stuff - or gød stüf. And a 42 minute EP!
1. Primo example of their jazz/breakbeat art described above; comes to broken end
2. Graceful flute floats over dirty melody
3. Slow moving, wary
4. Kitchen-sink approach - down to twangy guitar
5. Unison horn lines and muted guitar over quasi-busy beats and twinkly electric piano
6. For glitch-o-philes; chopped-up tune gives way to chopped beats/noise underpinning smooth horns
7. Urgent and epic, though peters out into noodling towards end
