Free-jazz vignettes recorded in moderate fidelity. Mostly fast-paced little jams. Fasteau frequently plays exotic "world" woodwinds, but there's plenty of regular sax, piano and drums here as well. Autoharmonizer for vocals (3,13) and instruments (4,5,14) adds some new color to her stuff.
Piano doesn't show up much but it's awesome when it does -- 1 especially.
- Big and stormy piano, crazy sax
- Fast chaos, again lots of piano
- Fast and even a bit swingy, with electronically harmonized vocals
- Agile, twisty sax
- Flutes, fast
- Slower, a forest of woodwinds
- Slow and twining. The instruments have a whiny quality that gets a bit abrasive
- Mournful intensity on alto sax
- A capella (almost), a bit muddy sounding
- Clarion call of saxes
- Peaceful flute wandering
- Flashy free-jazz sax, big ending
- Treated vocals, ranging from ghostly groans to wordless singing
- Flute. Starts floaty, develops a cool "world" groove.
- Sax-piano-drum trio, rich Coltrane territory, very jazzy
- Bluesy two-sax wanderings, slow/mid
