Don't miss the second track. It is amazing! After a noisy slow intro with Scandinavian singing the hardest, lowest, hypnotic grooving bass line forms with perfectly syncopated drum accents. Unlike anything else. Take a listen. Different from the usual Sunn0))) sound but really impressive.

In case you don’t know - Sunn o))) is a project of Gregg Anderson (Goatsnake) + Stephen O’ Malley (Thorr’s Hammer, Khanate, The Teeth of the Lion Rule The Divine) who seem to worship/copy/emulate (depends on what you choose to think) the ‘ambient doom metal’ of underground legends Earth (who some guy name Kurt “Denial Fiend” Cobain was once part of). Well, this time out they’ve done one better & got one of Earth’s ex-members Joe Preston (of the godly ‘duo’ The Thrones) as well as Runhild Gammelsœter (vocalist for Thorr's Hammer) & even Rex Ritter (ex-Jessamine, now in Fontanelle). Whilst the collective resume’s are impressive the collective sounds found here are even moreso. 3 solid walls of doom & ambience melting through your ears & mind.

(((1))) Slooooooowwwww doomed bass/guitar & noise backed with Julian Cope’s spoken words from his awesome dramatic voice which invokes the Aesir (the Norse gods/goddesses), Greek/Roman deities, kings, priests & death itself. FCC: (6:59-7:11 “Old motherfucker was a c&&ks%cker...” the rest is clean!
((2)) Traditjional norskfolksang/Tradiitional Norwegian folk song sung by Runhild in the shower (?) coupled with massive drones & noise by Joe Preston & other half of the Thrones. Imagine Geezer Butler on morphine playing underwater with a very sleep-deprived uh...version of Sleep. Some fluttering from the soon to be dead amps as well and more doom/drone (“Droom”?)

((((3)))) Ultra-slooow drift of guitars being randomly tuned & de-tuned whilst various “stoned as stoned can be” types make fun with their guitar’s pickups, in/out puts. Spacey & super-low fi in the truest sense.
