Think of the noisy New York City punk energy of The Stooges, The Cramps, and The Germs all rolled up into one decent fucking band, at least early in their career. They fit right into the CBGB scene of the late 70s. It’s evident from Disc 2 why they didn’t make it very far – learning to play guitar (and showing it) can really kill a good punk band. There are still some great songs on Disc 2, and Disc 1 fucking rocks all hell!
