The Weisstronauts -- Weisstronauts featuring "Spritely"
Instrumental retro-country from Boston -- A heavy dose of western swing, plus country, 60s-era surf pop and some loungy swing, with lots of cheery hooks and lots of good guitar work. There's even some influences from cowboy soundtracks (#7), hawaiian lounge (#8) and and psych/noisy/experimental (#9, 14) genres. And they picked lots of different adjectives for the song titles! Good and catchy but at times seems like it's missing something --- maybe lyrics. PICS: 9, 7, 8, 3, 4, 14
1. western swing
2. cheesy 70s classic rock guitar
3. surfy reverb -- good
4. country/swing + accordion
5. uptempo country, slide guitar
6. country/swing boogie
7. morricone-esque western theme
8. hawaiian loungey/surfy
9. 60s boogie guitar, weird spoken word, rocks/noisy at end-- great!
10. bouncy western swing groove + slide guitar
11. instrumental classic country
12. cowboy country + harmonica
13. talking then short jazzy piece
14. experimental guitar weirdness -- good
15. short sound blast
