Dear Leader - My Life as a Wrestler
Excellent solo project from Aaron Perrino of the Sheila Devine singing aching, stark songs somewhat reminscent of early Echo and the Bunnymen. Slow, sullen tales of lost love with slight a edge of hope thrown in. Also reminds me of John Vanderslice at times. Very very good!!
PLAY AT 45 NOT 33!!!!
1. My Life as a Wrestler -- pensive guitars building to an unhurried chorus --how pop songs are supposed to be -- great!
2. Slow Death Shadows -- lost love-- acoustic guitar/ keyboard + quiet drum loops
