The name probably taken from a Black Sabbath song and a cover of Black Sabbath’s “The Wizard” give you a great idea of what this might sound like. The catch is that this is doom and not really stoner rock. It’s slow and dark with some bluesy sounds and not the usual Kyuss knockoffs. The music has lots of patience, never getting to fast and never too heavy. They have two guitarists and touch on the twin lead guitar sound ever so slightly. They are from Hungary.
1. Longer track with some nice guitar sounds and vocals that won’t annoy you too much. Really nice bass you can hear and a lurching doom sound. You can hear old Black Sabbath in this song a lot. They ride the main riff to long and often but it doesn’t destroy the track.
**2. Quiet slow beginning but into more of a chug with a bit more rock. Twin guitars towards the middle of the track. The vocals work a bit better on this track.
**3. Nice beginning with just guitar that sounds a bit like AC/DC but then the 2nd guitar joins in.
**4. Spot on cover of “The Wizard” from Black Sabbath, including the harmonica playing.
One of the best doom CDs I’ve heard this year. -mph
