Legendary Shack Shakers -- Cockadoodledon't
Blazing country/roadhouse rock like Hank Williams III or Wayne Hancock. Bloodshot Records but decidedly not alt-country -- a mix of rockabilly, blues, country, bluegrass, and garage. At times greasy, at times dirty blues, at times
southern-fried rock, at times yearning back to traditional country. Fronted by "Colonel" JD Wilkes, a vaudeville-esque perfomer that plays harmonica and banjo and struts around on stage like Don Knotts and likes to get naked.
Yeee-hawww! PICS:1. 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12
1. bluesy, great screaming, distorted vocs, harmonica, heavy bass line
2. blues/road-country -- truck driving song
3. blazing psycho-country -- screaming like a man possessed
4. jew's harp +harmonica-- goofy rag/jug band -- heavy metal at very end
5. blues/roadhouse country --
6. lots of fiddle -- up-tempo country/jug + yodeling -- a la Hank III
7. psycho blues/rock
8. bluegrass -- banjo + fiddle -- great!
9. blues/country -- distorted vocs
10. rockabilly
11. blues -- great vocs and harmonica
12. fast rocker
