This CD fucking rocks! For those of you who like the intensity of the Black Eyes and Glass Candy, this is your kind of shit. A great punk/post-punk LP from a local band. Pure frenzy. There are no medium tempo tunes here. It's fast and to the bone. Loud menacing punk with strung out female (distorted male? - got the Glass Candy power) vocals. Lots of screams, spit and sweat. Super fast guitar riffs and chord changes, moshing guitars, slammy bass. A blend of late 70s Brit punk, early 80s DC punk and early 90s alterna punk. If I had to guess the lead singer must have been hospitalized after this recording. So intense, so outta control. A mixture of Bad Brains, the Black Eyes, the Slits (of Peel Sessions era), and Babes in Toyland.
PLAY: 4 (for bill), 7 (for john), 5, 3, 8
1. Grungy guitar leads. Punk vox.
2. Dissonant guitar leads
3. Brit vocal style - Straight up punker - Loud
4. GREAT! Very seminal. Very noisy. B52s/Devo vocal groove.
5. Bouncy punk rocker
6. "Calm down... Beavis". Dark, very-very fast. Insanely fast.
7. Nice driving riff - it makes you wanna pogo - Catchy - Sounds like the Black Eyes
8. Epic/seminal punk-sounding backing vocals.
9. Drilling bass. Nice!
