Phew. Some combination of a “The Locust” rip-off, Lightning Bolt and Converge-like metalcore. Noisy and chaotic with random burst into either discordance or grind parts. 10 songs in 10 minutes gives you a good idea. Strange keyboards, odd non-riffs, and almost cheap noisy guitar adds to the similarities with The Locust. Not really hardcore, not really metal, sort of heavy, chaotic, noisy rock that can be exciting at times and cheap at others. Ex-members of As the Sun Sets and from Providence, the home of Lightning Bold and Mens Recovery Project (what is in the drinking water there?).
**1. Swirling guitar, stop, go, grindcore, mathrock, and heavy chug all in 38 seocnds.
2. A lot of simple things can be noisy when all done at the same time.
3. Like a toy gone haywire. Including a dumb song title. Ends with 40+ seconds of a mellow keyboard loop.
**4. Heavy and attacking and again ends with some quiet noise.
6. Another one like track 3. Silly guitar noises (that’s not a bad thing), crazy changes and well sort of the sound of being crazy. Well my stereotypical understanding of crazy. Yet again the track ends with quiet noise.
7. One riff over and over.
8. All over the place.
9. Total The Locust worship. 10. 5 seconds of a melodic sound into their noise and chaos. Slow strangeness, not unless Primus in the middle of this track.
Can you be derivative of something that is WAY underground that few people know about? I still like it. I think. -mph
