If it hasn’t said by now, then it needs to be said: Kazyuke K. Null is an absolute master of sound. When he’s not crushing eardrums with his devasting band Zeni Geva he’s noodling in noise & experimental fields.
These fields are sometimes ambient & serene and othertimes dangerous & filled with darkness. This album falls under the latter description. There’s lots of darkness & old-style (1976-82) influenced industrial, ambience & early 80’s video game tones here. This also makes for GREAT sound beds/background music.
((((1)))) Killer , rather spacey, percussive, old-style industrial & freaked out electronics. Sounds like a tweaked out version of the video game “Tempest”. Think: TG, Z’ev, Test Dept., et. al.
(((2))) Ambient & bubbling upward a bit like Robert Rich.
((((3))))Sounds like electronic-laden versions of early Z’ev as this is very percussive & rythmic yet still reminding me of 80’s video games.
(((4))) Sounds something like the work of (Bay Area “noise-ician”) Kim Cascone (solo, PGR, et. al.).
‘89-’92-era ambient/experimental sounds
(((((5)))) Oh wow! Spacey, repetitive “Georgio Moroder jamming with Chu Isakowa (“Tetsuo” soundtrack guy) & Tomita. Hella 70’s “head music” mixed with squirts of industrial. Stunningly awesome!!!!
((((6)))) Hey, Null stop playing that Tempest machine! Sounds like Atari’s “Tempest” but a little slower & bouncing around in some room at the Exploratorium circa 1977. Killer!
((((7)))) Rythmic noise blasts & interspersed with squeals & blurts.
((((8)))) Sort of like a modernized take on old synth/moog tunes. (insert Dick Hyman, et. al. references here).
(((9))) Kind of dense, static & random bleeps & blurps over a mid-tempo structure.
((((10)))) Weird, downtuned sounds of that Tempest game again mixed with a rotting sit-down version of “Pole Position” getting a hand-job from Genesis P-Orridge.
