Bebop jazz, straightforward stuff. Many tracks (2,4,12) carry a mildly Klezmer feel, or is it Mexican horns? The band is characterized strongly by the trumpet sound, bright and forceful.

Relatively short songs (7 minutes max). Mostly in a conservative vein, except for the weirdness of tracks 3 and 11.

- Fast twisty bebop
- Slowish; Mexican feel to the horns
- Quick and perky
- Gentle midtempo
*- Fast straight bop
- Slow
- Midtempo; mellow, warm, chintzy
*- Mid/slow, with bright trumpet solo
*- Fast, tumbling, madcap
- Quiet little shuffle
- Sparse, quiet, improv. Some quiet gentle vocals.
- Dreamy-slow. Very melodic solos, appropriate to a closing track
