This is a very fast-paced CD that combines rock and country. I do not recommend this album. I only liked two of the tracks, #7 and #9. There were two problems with the CD: the vocalists and the guitarist. The vocalists were often off-key and the guitar solos were muffled and shrill.
1) Feel this Way– upbeat, fast-moving song; male vocalist with backup; guitar with some fiddle in the background 2) Color the Shade– duet between male and female vocalists; kind of pretty but slow; hideous guitar solo that has no crispness, sounds like static 3) Foolish Heart– cheerful dance tune with some rock-like segments 4) Lookout Below– kind of a funny, yodeling song; the guitar solo is awful, but the banjo solo is a nice touch 5) 5 Sided Die– duet with banjo and guitar; fast-paced but bittersweet; guitar isn’t quite as grating 6) End Time Evangelist– Very different from the other songs; slow, with a more solemn tone; guitar keeps a steady rhythm 7) You Wouldn’t Believe What I’ve Been Up To– again, very different from previous songs; female vocalist singing pretty traditional country lyrics; welcome change from the frenzied and ugly music before 8) Ridin the Dog– back to the fast-paced, cheerful songs as before; some very capable fiddling in the background; however, male vocalists don’t do a very good job and the guitar sounds bad again 9) Tuscaloosa– this is the male companion to #7; it is a quiet, calm song with an unintrusive guitar accompaniment; sad and sweet
