PACO DE LUCIA Cositas Buenas
Modern Spanish flamenco guitar with influences of jazz and Latin dances (tango, rumba, etc.). He plays extremely well (and very fast, at times). Not for flamenco purists, and it’s definately too “lite jazz” at times. But I think it would make good dinner party music… not in a bad “muzak” kind of way, but in a “fading into the background,” sort of sound.
1. Uptempo & jazzy w/palmas & chorus.
2. Midtempo & romantic, inspired by the tango.
3. Intricate guitar featured well in this mid/uptempo piece.
*4. Bright, uptempo rumba-esque track.
*5. Big chorus soaring away to some fast guitar work.
6. Slower w/a rather self-conscience kind of drama.
*7. Fast guitar work, vocals. The most recognizable as flamenco.
8. A jazzy rumba piece, complete with horns.
